CNC Machinist

SFC Tec Inc., an operating segment of SFC Welding Inc., is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team in our machining department. SFC Tec Inc. specializes in Custom Precision components made of a variety of different metal alloys. The CNC Operator will play a critical role in manufacturing precision components used in industrial, aerospace, and defense applications, ensuring quality, efficiency, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC operation, programming, and machining, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and workplace cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • CNC Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (Fanuc Controlled Doosan DVF 5000 5-axis, DNM 5700 3-axis, Puma 3600 SY Lathe Live tooling/Sub Spindle, 2 Doosan Robots) to manufacture a variety of types of alloys to specified tolerances.
  • Programming: Read and interpret CAD drawings, and technical designs to program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
  • Material Handling: Work with all types and sizes of metal.
  • Tool Maintenance and Organization: Replace and maintain cutting tools, ensuring optimal performance, and implement efficient tool organization practices to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workstation by adhering to daily cleaning routines and ensuring proper storage of tools and materials.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machining issues, adjusting machine settings as necessary to optimize production.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with the engineering team, designers, and fabricators to address design adjustments, production challenges, or tooling requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow company safety protocols, including maintaining clean walkways and minimizing hazards in the production area.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or a related field is preferred. Placement and Pay will be dependent on experience.  Currently Hiring at all levels of experience.
  • Proficiency with CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, FANUC.)
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion360, MasterCAM, SolidWorks).
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following established processes for tool storage and area upkeep.
  • Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a production facility environment
