Position Summary


We are seeking a versatile and dependable Office & General Labor Assistant to support both the administrative operations in the office and the hands-on needs of our facility. This is a hybrid role requiring someone who can comfortably shift between clerical/customer-facing duties and general labor tasks in the shop. Daily responsibilities will vary, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable balancing both areas of support based on current priorities and a given task list. This individual must also be able to track and log time spent on different task types (e.g., office work vs. general labor).

Key Responsibilities


Office & Administrative Support:

  • Answer and route incoming calls, greet visitors, and provide basic customer service
  • Perform filing, scanning, document organization, and light data entry
  • Assist with scheduling and job tracking
  • Support the recruitment process by coordinating, conducting initial interviews, and taking notes on applicant responses
  • Aid the sales and office administrator with general clerical and operational tasks
  • Accurately put orders into system and handle internal/external communication with key stakeholders
  • Keep the office environment clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Other duties as assigned by office manager


General Labor & Facility Support:


  • Help clean and organize work areas, tools, and storage spaces in coordination with shop manager
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory management, or materials handling
  • Run errands or make local deliveries as needed by truck and trailer
  • Provide light maintenance support and general shop upkeep in coordination with shop manager
  • Perform light janitorial tasks as needed and on set schedule
  • Willingness to be trained to learn how to safely operate a forklift for occasional loading and unloading of small deliveries and freight
  • May assist with cutting, bending, welding, or performing other shop tasks depending on experience/skill level in coordination with shop manager
  • Other duties as assigned by office manager

Qualifications

Minimum Skills Required

  • High reliability and punctuality
  • Comfortable performing both clerical and physical tasks
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, data entry)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs and work on your feet as needed
  • Self-starter with a team-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn

Preferred Experience 

    • Experience in a dual-role (office and general labor support)
    • Prior experience working in a shop environment
    • Familiarity with manufacturing or shop environments
    • Valid Utah driver’s license and reliable transportation
